It has been rebacked at some stage but fortunately retains its original front and back boards and ornate leather cover. Its cover is both blind- and gold-tooled, its edges and dentelles decorated in gold with a pattern from a roll and its endpapers are in the Stormont marble pattern. It has metal clasps, engraved with the date 1609, which hold the boards together. Internally, it is in excellent condition, with only one tear to the top-right of the title page – this has been repaired with Japanese Kozo paper.
